I have completed 25 days, or a third, of the 75 Hard Challenge as of last night. My only regret is that I wish I had taken a better picture yesterday, as the lighting seems darker than the picture from day 1, but lesson learned.
As a recap, I’ve committed to the following tasks, daily, for 75 days:
· Take a progress pic each day to reflect progress
· Drink a gallon of water
· Read 10 pages of a personal development or entrepreneurship book
· Do 2 workouts lasting at least 45 minutes, one of which must be done outdoors
· Follow a diet
To date, I’m down 2.6 pounds, which might not seem like much, but I’ve also reduced my waist measurement by 1.25 inches, which is indicative of a loss of 5 pounds of body fat based on prior experience, which include DEXA scans and caliper measurements. So, my guess is that I’ve offset 5 pounds of fat loss with roughly 2-1/2 pounds of muscle gain. This is quite believable to me based on strength gains I’ve observed since beginning this program, as I shifted to heavier, lower weight workouts to maintain muscle mass due to the amount of cardio I knew I would be doing throughout this program.
I’ve also read and taken notes from over 265 pages from ‘The 48 Laws of Power’ and over 140 pages from ‘Trejo’s Tacos,’ along with my regular Bible App lessons. I’ve also started looking into creating and/or investing in a local business, which is one of my primary goals to result from this process.
See you again on page 38, or just past the halfway point, God-willing…
